A different way to load

A drop deck car trailer that starts at ground level.

Loading is where this trailer makes its difference. Lower the deck to the ground and remove the separate ramp climb from your loading routine — particularly useful when considering a trailer for a low-clearance vehicle.

01 / Loading

Leave the ramps behind.

The deck lowers flat on firm, level ground for a 0° loading angle. There are no separate ramps to line up, lift or pack away.

02 / Deck

Room for your vehicle.

A 5,000 × 1,950 mm deck provides the starting point for checking vehicle fit. Share your car’s dimensions, wheelbase and clearance with our team.

03 / Capacity

Know what you can carry.

A 3,500 kg ATM and 960 kg nominal tare give a 2,540 kg nominal payload. Check the individual trailer’s plate and as-built tare when planning your load.

04 / Hydraulics

Powered deck movement.

A 12 V DC hydraulic system with six cylinders operates the deck. The toolbox-mounted solar panel provides charging support.

05 / Equipment

Winch and storage fitted.

A front-mounted electric winch assists loading, with a durable toolbox for storage. Confirm the fitted winch rating for your intended use.

06 / Transport

Built around the journey.

Tandem axles, electric brakes on all wheels, a breakaway system and deck D-rings support the transport setup. Use suitable rated restraints for your vehicle.

  1. Lower on a suitable surface. Use firm, level ground and follow the operator’s manual.
  2. Load your vehicle. Check fit and weight, then use the correct loading and restraint procedure.
  3. Prepare for transport. Confirm the deck is locked in its travel position and complete the manual’s pre-tow checks.

This is an overview, not an operating procedure. Request the operator’s manual for the complete instructions.

Dimensions and mass figures are nominal. The individual trailer’s compliance plate and actual as-built tare take precedence. Accessories and carried equipment reduce the payload available for your vehicle. Confirm the supplied configuration and warranty terms before ordering.

Before you choose

Your drop deck questions, answered.

Does the drop deck car trailer need ramps?

No. The DDC-3500 deck lowers flat to the ground to provide a 0° loading angle on firm, level ground. Ramps are neither required nor supplied.

Will it suit my low-clearance car?

The ground-level loading arrangement removes the need to climb separate ramps. Send us your vehicle’s length, width, wheelbase, ground clearance and actual weight so we can check suitability. A 0° deck does not guarantee clearance for every vehicle or surface.

What is the difference between payload and ATM?

The 3,500 kg ATM is the maximum total loaded trailer mass. With a nominal tare of 960 kg, nominal payload is 2,540 kg. The trailer’s compliance plate and actual as-built tare govern the usable capacity; fitted accessories and carried equipment reduce the capacity available for your vehicle.

How does the deck operate?

A 12 V DC hydraulic power unit and six cylinders move the deck between loading and travel positions. A toolbox-mounted solar panel provides charging support. Follow the supplied operator’s manual and confirm the deck is locked in its travel position before towing.

Is an electric winch included?

An electric winch is mounted at the front of the deck. Confirm the rating of the fitted winch with our team. The winch assists loading; it does not replace rated vehicle restraints.

What towing equipment do I need?

The trailer has a 50 mm ball coupling, a 7-pin flat plug, electric brakes and a breakaway system. Your tow vehicle needs a suitable electric brake controller and appropriately rated towing equipment. Share your tow vehicle details with us so the complete setup can be reviewed.

Can I request pricing, delivery or a different configuration?

Yes. Contact our Maddington team for current pricing, availability and delivery options. Tell us about any changes you need, and ask about custom builds, hire or finance availability.

What warranty is supplied?

The documentation specifies a 12-month warranty from the date of release against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to the Warranty Card. Ask our team for the full warranty terms and operator’s manual.
